this looks like a job for me so everybody just follow me cause we need a little controversy.
From the corridors outside sickbay came the sounds of feet hitting the floor wetly, one slightly louder and on a time delay, indicating either a limp or one boot taller than the other.
Which it was became acutely obvious when the door to Sickbay slid open and revealed one James Kirk, remarkably resembling a drowned rat, soaked from head to toe. Somehow, about half of her shirt disappeared in various places, but don't worry - the layer of mud she's coated in does a fair job of hiding anything top-secret.
And one boot was missing, in case you wondered. To add to the mystery, Jim carried a pink ball of fluff resembling a kitten that she put down on the Sickbay floor as soon as she came through the doors, and, yes - her arms were slightly covered in light scratches.
"Don't ask."

"Not especially, no." But he had a feeling he'd just ended up with one.

That was entirely possible. She couldn't keep an eye on it all the time, after all.

And she was shocked, shocked that he thought so.
"I think she's stuck in kitten stage permanently."
