Jim was content.

Most of her crew had gotten the shore leave they so desperately needed, finally; she herself wasn't planning on participating, seeing as how she had some work to catch up on, but she was assured that the planet was entirely beautiful and peaceful - all in all perfect for the crewmember in need of some rest.

She was halfway through a stack of PADDs when Uhura informed her Dr. McCoy was calling from the planet; she pushed them aside for the moment and prepared to fend off another attempt to get her to beam down.

"Yes, Bones?"

Unhelpfully to Jim, the planet chose that moment to grow a video monitor out of the ground for Bones, containing a video feed of the Kobayashi Maru they just went through and helpful cross-referenced files on the Kelvin.

Jim eyed it suspiciously. "What the hell is that?"
