if wishes were horses beggars would ride, all dreams and desires would ride alongside.
Jim was content.
Most of her crew had gotten the shore leave they so desperately needed, finally; she herself wasn't planning on participating, seeing as how she had some work to catch up on, but she was assured that the planet was entirely beautiful and peaceful - all in all perfect for the crewmember in need of some rest.
She was halfway through a stack of PADDs when Uhura informed her Dr. McCoy was calling from the planet; she pushed them aside for the moment and prepared to fend off another attempt to get her to beam down.
"Yes, Bones?"

She eyed the creature back warily. That... was a really big horn. Why was it so big, again?

Yeah, the other Jim just wandered up behind Jim to wrap her arms around her waist and settle her chin on Jim-the-original's shoulder. "Hey, Bones," Jim-the-double said.

...Speaking of the original, this was quite possibly one of the few occasions where she couldn't seem to figure out what to do with herself. UH.

Either way, Jim took a few minutes to get her brain back together and remember that she needed to leave instructions with the Enterprise to halt all Shore Leave parties and beam up all unnecessary personnel while she investigated.
