straightontilmorning: (LOOK SPOCK I CAN RAISE MY EYEBROWS)

if wishes were horses beggars would ride, all dreams and desires would ride alongside.

Jim was content.

Most of her crew had gotten the shore leave they so desperately needed, finally; she herself wasn't planning on participating, seeing as how she had some work to catch up on, but she was assured that the planet was entirely beautiful and peaceful - all in all perfect for the crewmember in need of some rest.

She was halfway through a stack of PADDs when Uhura informed her Dr. McCoy was calling from the planet; she pushed them aside for the moment and prepared to fend off another attempt to get her to beam down.

"Yes, Bones?"

"True unicorn?"

She eyed the creature back warily. That... was a really big horn. Why was it so big, again?

(...Didn't unicorns have some kind of purity issue or something?)

[identity profile] hesdead-jim.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
"True thing hiding behind that door," he replied with a twitch of his lips.

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Good horse?" she ventured.

THAT UNICORN WAS STARTING TO LOOK DISTINCTLY MENACING.

[identity profile] hesdead-jim.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
He rolled his eyes then and stepped closer to her, eying the unicorn as he tried to think of how nice this planet would be without the bar, and without the unicorns. Just him and Jim.

Which was perhaps why when he glanced behind himself, the bar had vanished, to be replaced by a suitably romantic looking dinner. Oh hell. He cursed, gripping her arm to try to drag her away before she saw.

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
...Yeah, unfortunately, Jim was thinking about unicorns, and about how something that huge (did it grow?) and with a horn like that (what other possible reason would it have for one?) couldn't possibly be friendly.

She followed Bones readily, fast enough that soon she was pulling him along, the unicorn starting to follow at a slow cantor. SHE TOOK IT BACK, SHE DIDN'T LIKE THEM ANYMORE.

[identity profile] hesdead-jim.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
"Jim, will you please stop thinking about unicorns and about something else," he hissed at her quietly as they moved.

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Fine."

Clearly, that meant dragging him into a kiss. It's logical, really - probably any thoughts that come of this will be really dirty/fun, and therefore a win/win.

(...That second Jim that just popped up leaning against the tree wearing the clothing - or lack thereof - as pictured in the icon appeared to agree. Or so her smirk said.)

"Mmmphhph," was his muffled reply against her lips. Of course, who was he to turn down a kiss from her? But, as he was kissing her, he saw that second Jim, which almost caused him to stumble. "I was right!"

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
What.

What.

"...You sure that one isn't yours?"

<<

[identity profile] hesdead-jim.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Relatively," he replied with a laugh.

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
POUT. POUT.

...UH.

Yeah, the other Jim just wandered up behind Jim to wrap her arms around her waist and settle her chin on Jim-the-original's shoulder. "Hey, Bones," Jim-the-double said.

Uh, he looked between the two of them, eyes slightly wider than usual. Especially considering the state of undress of the second Jim. He was torn between calling this on heaven or hell.

"Jim."

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
...Well, Jim-the-original doesn't seem terribly bothered. Amused, really.

"I'd call this officially surreal."

- Not necessarily in a bad way.

[identity profile] hesdead-jim.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's sure somethin'," and surreal was just one of the many words Leonard could come up with here!

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 05:58 pm (UTC)(link)
'Extremely hot' had better be some of the others, because otherwise Jim would be sad.

...Especially since the Jim!double was feeling the original up a little.

[identity profile] hesdead-jim.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"Jim -- both of you -- need to stop that," because extremely hot didn't even begin to describe that little image.

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"You sure about that, Bones?" Jim-the-double said.

Jim-the-original was woefully realizing that, yes, she needed to get back to the business of Finding Out What the Hell's Going On.

[identity profile] hesdead-jim.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sadly, I am," he admitted with a slight twitch of his lips.

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Jim-the-double shrugged a little and said "Your choice" before planting a parting kiss on Jim's cheek and stepping away.

...Speaking of the original, this was quite possibly one of the few occasions where she couldn't seem to figure out what to do with herself. UH.

[identity profile] hesdead-jim.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
He swallowed hard then and fumbled for Jim's hand to drag her away from the double. Hell.

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Or Heaven?

Either way, Jim took a few minutes to get her brain back together and remember that she needed to leave instructions with the Enterprise to halt all Shore Leave parties and beam up all unnecessary personnel while she investigated.

[identity profile] hesdead-jim.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, heaven worked too, seeing as it had half naked Jim's down here.

"So, now what's the plan?"

[identity profile] kirk-it.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Now we meet with the rest of the landing party and figure out what the hell is making our-" how to put this delicately "-thoughts into reality."

[identity profile] hesdead-jim.livejournal.com 2009-10-25 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Very well done on the delicate front. "And try to not let... thoughts occur in front of them."
